THE OZONIC STORY
Ozonic is not only the name of the band, but also the combination of genres that each member grew up with, such as pop punk, classical, electronica, and several other that culminates in something truly unique. The project began as an idea that lead vocalist Colin Bovberg had in 2015. Colin was the man behind the solo project known as The Epic Weatherman, performing gigs and releasing music music from 2008 to 2016. Around 2015 he decided he wanted to collaborate with other musicians to expand his vision and elevate The Epic Weatherman to a new level. Current Ozonic members, Sean Kurchinski, Timothy Cravens, and Keith Bovberg were all brought on board, and the new project was named Weathervein. Between 2015-2016, Weathervein performed re-imaginings of tracks by The Epic Weatherman, as well as their own original music.
During this time, the band realized that the music they had started creating began to differ significantly from The Epic Weatherman songs. This led to a rebirth of the group, and the name was changed to Ozonic, in order to better convey the fresh sound they were creating. Ozonic released their debut EP “Take Me For A Ride” on April 10th, 2017, and their sophomore Self-Titled EP on July 17th, 2021. This was followed up by their single Neon Weekend on September 16th, 2022. Their newest single, Cirque, is streaming everywhere NOW!
